Oumph! was awarded Silver in the Innovation category and Bronze in the Veggie Ready Meal category at the FreeFrom Food Awards 2018 at a ceremony in London last night.
“It’s a great joy for Oumph! to receive these prestigious awards! We don’t see Oumph! as a ‘meat replacement’, we just see it as really good food, and it just happens to be vegan and free from gluten and dairy”, comments Nick Jacobs, UK Sales Manager for Oumph!
In the UK Oumph! is currently available at nearly 400 Tesco stores, Whole Foods Market and a number of independent retailers around the country.
“We launched three varieties of Oumph! in Tesco in March, and sales are already exceeding our expectations. It’s quite clear that the UK are ready for great tasting, plant-based food”, continues Nick Jacobs.
“We see a great potential in food service in the UK”, says Nick Jacobs. “In Sweden and the other Nordic countries Oumph! is on the menu in a large number of fast food chains and restaurants, and we see a great potential for his in the UK as well”.
Oumph! is made from soya beans. It’s completely plant-based, free from gluten and dairy.
The Oumph! range of products are easy to cook. They are versatile and suitable to grill, boil, sauté, deep-fry or heat over an open fire.
The Pure Oumph! comes in three varieties: The Chunk, The Strip and The Filet. Pure Oumph! contains soya protein concentrate, water and a little salt.
Spicy Oumph! is an entire range of Oumph! products, seasoned with our own spice mixes such as: Pulled Oumph!, Thyme & Garlic, Kebab Spiced, Salty & Smoky, Tandoori BBQ, Tarragon & Lemon, Grill Spiced and Bibim Oumph!
Oumph! is currently available in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland and the United Kingdom.
